As you know I've being submitting my novel to agents, and had a few rejections. Last week I got one back with a handwritten note from an agent, with a little advice in it.
At first to read a critque of my chapters was tough, but actually what they said is totally spot on. So I am reediting my novel (again!). At least I haven't read it now for a couple of months so I can see it slightly fresher. Also I realised a big lesson. That I submitted my chapters way too early. I am such an impatient person. I wrote the book in three months, and I expected to get published as quickly. I submitted what I now think are cringe worthy letters, and let's not talk about the synopsis. I promise when i do get published, I'll post my original subbing material to make you giggle. I have since read lots and about the what you are supposed to do, and I think my submissions were a lesson in what not to do! Which means I am going to have to learn how to become patient, and do some more hard work That means that when I do resubmit my work to other agents I'll hopefully be giving my chapters the best possible chance! x
