It's all about me!

Well, what can I say? I'm a hopeless romantic and love nothing more than a good happy ending. After an unsuccessful interview for the TV show The Apprentice, I passed a major publisher in London and drunkenly told my husband that they were going to publish my novel one day. He never let me forget, and that's when my journey began. Ten years later I've written fourteen books (nine published, one due to be published in June and four self-published (three under the pseudonym Annabell Scott) and been published in ten different languages. My published books are available in all ebook formats, paperback and audiobook. I'm represented by Viola Hayden at Curtis Brown, do contact her for any rights enquiries.

I love reading feel good fiction and watching TV although writing novels and looking after two young children doesn't leave me a lot of time to watch it anymore. I still get addicted to American box sets - especially If I'm in between books. Currently I'm working through This is Us and watching The Marvellous Mrs Maisel - plus I'm always rewatching Schitt's Creek and The Gilmore Girls.

After leaving a career as a museum curator, I am now a full-time writer. I live with my lovely husband who I met in true chick-lit style up a mountain in Nepal. We have two wonderful Labradors who are the best thing a writer could have. Not only do they give the best cuddles, but their multiple walks a day give me the time to get away from all distractions. Those walks are when I plan my books, sort out plot holes and get over writer's block. We also have two small children who do their best to distract me from writing.  We live in a tiny village in South West France, with chickens and an out-of-control veggie patch.

Music wise I listen to an eclectic mix of pop, rock and Disney songs, with my favourite bands being the Killers and the Foo Fighters. My main ambition in life is to see the Killers and actually remember seeing them. There's always a story with their concerts... but that's for another time.
