I really enjoyed it! Thought Millie needed a bit more of a back story.
When's the next chapter out?

I think this is going to be quite good, would quite like it to be more funny to keep the story moving.

What a great idea! I really liked how the characters were developed. I already feel a warmth towards Millie and feel her desperation. Equally, I’m already despising the Maid of Honour! The characters are real, human and any girl with a painful history involving an ex boyfriend, an unreliable friend and a desire to block out that past can relate to it, regardless what side of the Atlantic they come from. I’m really looking forward to finding out how the events will unfold. I also really enjoyed the way the chapter is written; it’s full of clever asides which add intrigue and humour to the narrative. Plus there’s lots of amusing imagery to get your imagination going - I can just picture Millie looking just like custard in her yellow dress! Anna Bell describes every day occurrences and the attached human emotion with accuracy, humour and sometimes poignancy. A well written, funny and witty first chapter which gives promise of a thoroughly entertaining novel. I’m looking forward to it!
