Millie’s relieved that her American Wedding experience is coming to an end. The journey home has started and in fifteen hours she’ll be back on British soil. She wants to leave any thoughts of Rob firmly in the US, but will that be possible when he turns up at the airport after finding out Barbara’s dirty little secret?
Millie's last obstacle before she goes home is to attend the brunch. Two hours, a little chatting and some food. That was all she had to do. Easy? Well not when it was held in the smallest courtyard meaning trying to avoid certain guests became near impossible. And as she accidentally tells someone of Barbara's secret Millie soon learns the truth will out.
Millie wakes up with no memory of most of the wedding reception, and no idea where she was. More disturbing is the man's arm across her chest. Who was he? And Where was she? And how was she going to get back to her hotel without the wedding guests seeing her still in her bridesmaid dress.
Millie gets over the looks and stares of the wedding guests and starts enjoying the wedding. Only when she steps outside for some air she runs into Barbara who makes Millie’s world come crumbling down…
Millie tries to avoid gentle Ben, who turns out to be more than a little dull. She instead discovers the American Wedding ritual of garter throwing and bouquet tossing, which was enough to turn her beetroot purple with her blushes. Tyler finally confesses his feelings to Rachel, and Millie has to deal with the fallout.
After dinner, Millie just wants to find a man to dance with. She's selected her candidate for the evening, and made some eyes at him. Trouble is every time she goes to talk to him someone gets in the way. With Millie troubleshooting: Tara the drunken tornado, Rob and his failing marriage and Tyler with his confessions of undying love for Rachel, will she get round to finding someone to dance with?
The reception is in full swing and Millie is trying to limit the damage around her. With Tyler wanted to confess his undying love for Rachel, Collette trying to death stare Millie and Tara drunk and disorderly, will Millie make it through the reception unscathed?
Kristen and Joel are now a happily married couple and all that stands in the way of the reception is the photographs. How hard could a few smiles be for Millie? Answer pretty tricky when you've got ex mother in laws and evil maid of honours popping up. Not to mention the burden of carrying round all the secrets and lies is getting to be too much for Millie. Will she manage to make it to the reception without spilling a secret or two?
Millie has just made it to the church in time, but then Kristen confesses to a few pre wedding nerves. By the time the ceremony is over Millie thinks she has blackmail material for the whole of the wedding party. Will Millie be able to cope with all the secrets and lies?
